Fall Programs At Crème de la Crème

INFANT AND TODDLER PROGRAMS

The focus of the lessons for infants and toddlers this fall will be on getting to know the children and their unique qualities, separating from parents, learning about themselves, their families and their neighborhood, making friends, and other topics like animals, cars, trucks and trains, fruits and vegetables, and storybook classics, to name a few.

The themes will provide opportunities to learn about their senses and cause and effect, practice self-help skills, and to understand how to make things happen. The older children will learn about colors, shapes and familiar items in their environment.

Plenty of activities and experiences will be available for children to participate in. The possibilities center on dramatic play, literacy, sensory/art, curiosity and construction, as well as music and movement.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

The educational themes this fall will address your child’s school experiences, physical, thinking and feeling abilities, making friends, having pets and some seasonal celebrations. The themes will present opportunities for your child to learn classification and data collection, number and operations, geometry and spatial sense in regards to the math focus. The literacy focus will be on verbal expression, letter knowledge and early word recognition, listening comprehension and print and book awareness. Children will also learn to control their behaviors, build interpersonal relationships, self-esteem and self-help skills, as well as enjoy the creative arts.

PRIVATE KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM

The Open Court reading program is a comprehensive program that provides a strategic thematic instructional. The environment is literature-rich and will help to instill a passion for lifelong reading. The differentiated instruction is designed to help meet every student’s needs.

Throughout the year children will focus on comprehension, inquiry and investigation, writing, vocabulary and spelling. Math concepts will include numeration and order, patterns, function and sequence, geometry and spatial awareness, as well as operations. In addition to academic subjects, we focus on building self-confidence and problem-solving skills, as well as the creative arts.
