Meet Allyson Strickland ,! She’s the Executive Director at Chantilly. She’s been working with children for 15 years, starting as a kindergarten Assistant Teacher right here in this building when it was BeanTree. She quickly moved to teaching first grade, and was later promoted to Director of Education and Training. She earned a Liberal Arts & History degree from Longwood University in 2014 as well as a Child Development Associate (CDA). The quote, “One day at a time,” resonates with her. It reminds her that it’s important to look at the bigger picture, especially when things seem challenging. Outside of work, her family is outdoors any chance they can get! She has an amazing 4-year-old son, Koen, and a beautiful 2-year-old daughter, Delaney. She’s been married to her husband, Matthew, for five years.
