As a stepping stone to a child’s future education, kindergarten helps kids with basic academic skills like reading, writing, science, and math, and it allows them to develop emotional awareness and resiliency.
When kids go to kindergarten, they learn essential social skills, such as how to build and maintain relationships in a positive way. In addition, with the right program and caring teachers, kindergarten will help instill a love of learning. Kids will also understand the importance of having schedules and routines that kindergarten programs establish.
Our goal at Crème de la Crème of The Woodlands is to help your child develop cognitive, emotional, communication, and social skills to carry them through life. Our director of curriculum uses science-based research to prepare your child for elementary school, high school, and advanced educational institutions. Here are some reasons your child will excel by attending our private kindergarten program:
Kids get excited learning how to read and write with our teachers who use the science-based kindergarten curriculum called Journeys. With Journeys, your kindergartner will learn age-appropriate spelling and grammar rules that will help them develop their reading, writing, and listening skills. Our teachers use both fiction and nonfiction texts for this advanced reading and writing program.
Our coding and robotics class helps set the foundation for your child’s math and science academic journey. We use computer software, exciting apps, and hands-on activities to teach your child about patterns, sequencing, and spatial awareness. This knowledge will encourage kids to further their math and science education.
In addition to our regular kindergarten curriculum, we offer enrichment and creative classes to elevate your child’s education. These classes include learning foreign languages like Spanish and Mandarin, culinary education, theater, music, and arts.
With our whole-child approach to education, we include character development as part of our curriculum using Crème de la Crème’s Promoting Alternative Thinking Skills (PATHS) program. Your child will learn about emotional awareness, problem-solving, self-control, and how their behavior can affect their peers and adults. The PATHS program helps your kindergartner communicate effectively and take responsibility for their actions.
We have a robust and dynamic curriculum for our private kindergarten program, including:
Safety is paramount for us at Crème de la Crème of The Woodlands, and we use advanced safety features to ensure your kindergartner’s security. All of our team members go through background checks, and we have a security guard at the front entrance to our facility. You’ll have peace of mind knowing that we have eagle-eye cameras throughout the property and in our classrooms that we closely monitor. In addition, anyone entering our property will need to use our access code and biometric fingerprint process for extra levels of security.
When your child comes to our private kindergarten program, we supply art, music, sports, and school supplies as well as the educational resources they need to excel in their development. Your youngster will work up an appetite spending their busy day with us, and we give them healthy meals and snacks to keep them fueled up. We also provide organic milk for those who tolerate it.
Often, children have allergies to certain foods. We understand the impact that food allergies can have, and our facility does not allow any nut products, including almond milk. In addition, we have a list of those who have food allergies posted in our classrooms.
Our private kindergarten program aligns with national, state, and local school standards with our focus on language arts, mathematics, science, arts, and music.
We take pride in the professional and ongoing training our teachers at Crème de la Crème of The Woodlands receive. Our teachers and team members attend “Lunch and Learn” and other in-person training sessions with curriculum updates. In addition, we give our teachers a subscription to the online accreditation organization the ChildCare Education Institute for their professional development in early childhood education. Also, our teachers have CPR and first aid training and certifications.
Your child will get 120 minutes of active play when they spend their day with us. They’ll have access to all our amenities, including age-appropriate playgrounds and play structures, a soccer field, a baseball diamond, a tennis court, an indoor and outdoor basketball court, and our indoor water park.
