If your kids are eager to get out on the ice, you’re in luck. The Glenview Community Ice Center is your one-stop-shop for all ice skating activities. You’ll find the Ice Center at 1851 Landwehr Road in Glenview. The facility has earned state-wide recognition for excellence, even winning IPRA’s Outstanding Park and Facility Award honoring public agencies for achievements in design and development.

Glenview’s home for ice sports is a year-round destination, no matter if you’re looking for organized instruction or just a place for kids to get active and have fun. The facility features two NHL-size rinks as well as a studio rink, 11 team rooms, and a dryland training area. With a variety of hockey and figure skating programs available for all ages and skill levels, you’re sure to find the perfect program for your kids. The coaching center boasts qualified staff that guide skaters through different programming levels so skaters can progress to specialized skating and league play.

From their very first steps on the ice to competitive figure skating and hockey leagues, the Ice Center has something for everyone. Glenview residents can reserve 75-minute time slots up to three days in advance, while non-residents can reserve a visit up to a day in advance.

You can reserve half a gym for an hour just for members of your household, then have fun playing your favorite sports together. Park Center, a multi-purpose community center, is located on the shores of Lake Glenview at 2400 Chestnut Ave. in Glenview.

Glenview Soccer Club

Kiddos looking to get into soccer have an amazing option right in Glenview. The Glenview Soccer Club offers a variety of programs for budding soccer stars and kids looking for another fun opportunity to stay active close to home. GSC is a travel soccer club, offering U8-U11 boys and girls teams that play together all year long. Teams enjoy both a fall and spring season outdoors, plus they get a chance to get involved in a winter indoor league.

GSC offers additional training opportunities for players, too, like Friday skills classes, summer camps, speed and agility training, and more.
