On land, you can find playgrounds, horseshoes, volleyball, hiking, and picnic sites. There’s also an on-site restaurant to make dining easy.

Fieldsong Farm

If you like the idea of visiting a working farm, Fieldsong Farm would be a great place to go camping. There are 13 acres of fields, pastures, and meadows to explore. You can pitch your tent at the edge of a wildflower meadow and make a campfire in the fire pit. You and the kids can help with the farm chores if you wish to add to your adventure, and you can also enjoy plenty of outdoor recreation during your stay. Whether you enjoy hiking, bicycling, fishing, or boating, you’ll enjoy the peaceful surroundings at Fieldsong Farm. 

For an additional fee, you can have breakfast served to you at your campsite. You can also rent a pasture for your horses if you’d like to bring them along for horseback rides while you’re here. Firewood, baked goods, honey, fresh veggies, eggs, or goat milk are also available for purchase during your stay.

Crescent Moon Domes

If you’re looking for a quirky place to camp, look no further than Crescent Moon Domes, just over 30 minutes away in Blue Ridge. This site has two accommodations you can rent, and both are igloo-like structures with transparent roofs, giving you amazing views of the stars and sunsets. Don’t worry about privacy; the bedroom areas have solid walls, and there’s a privacy wall between the two sites. Inside, you’ll have two bedrooms with queen beds, and the sofa pulls out to a twin bed, so the domes can accommodate up to five people. 

The domes have heating, air conditioning, a mini fridge, a microwave, linens, a coffee bar, and dishes. Outside, there’s a grill, picnic table, and an antique stove or fire pit to gather around. If you want to get away from it all in a luxury glamping atmosphere, this is the place you’ve been looking for.

North Texas RV Park

Under 45 minutes away in Farmersville, North Texas RV Park offers RV camping and some great amenities. The sites can accommodate RVs up to 70 feet, and each has fiber-optic Wi-Fi. There’s a playground for the kids and a dog park for your pet. It also has laundry facilities and a fitness center. Each site has a picnic table, so you can enjoy the fresh air while you dine.

The Texan A-Frame

Another awesome glamping experience is in Princeton. Near Lake Lavon, this A-frame cabin might be just what you’re looking for if you want something a little different when it comes to camping. In the cabin, there’s one bedroom upstairs and another downstairs. You can also use the lotus tent outside to accommodate more guests. Up to six people can comfortably sleep here. It has all the linens and essentials you’ll need, so you can focus on making memories with your family. 

Outside, you’ll find a grill, a fire pit, and a dining area to enjoy your meals. A kayak is available to rent, and you’ll be within walking distance of the lake. If you’d like, you can also plan to bring along your furry friend; this place is pet friendly.
