Whether you’re looking for a quick bite during your lunch break or a new spot to enjoy a leisurely dinner, you’re sure to find it at one of Coppell’s many family-friendly ethnic restaurants.  The area is home to a variety of eateries, from elaborate sushi bars to cozy Indian cafes, that serve delicious international fare.

Zena Sushi Restaurant offers a multitude of Japanese dishes, including sushi, teriyaki, rice, and noodle plates. For your main entrée, choose from spicy chicken, barbecue short ribs, or bulgogi, a thinly sliced beef rib eye marinated in a Korean sauce. If you’re in the mood for teriyaki, the Zena Grill Teriyaki features options such as chicken, beef, calamari, red snapper, and salmon. Entrees are served with vegetables, miso soup, and salad.

Check out Zena’s sushi menu, which includes an ahi tower, spicy salmon, tuna tataki, red snapper gapacho, and an unagi bowl. The deep-fried menu features tornado rolls and tempura California. Rice and noodle platters, containing items such as yakisoba, udon noodles, pad thai, and fried rice, are also available. Choose to add chicken, shrimp, beef, or a combination of all three to your rice and noodle meal.

Party trays are available for pre-order. Choose from several different sushi and roll combinations as well as a sashimi platter. Party trays offer generous portions and are suitable for both small and large gatherings.

Kasa Kolache and Espresso Bar

Kasa Kolache specializes in authentic, Czech-style fruit kolache, homemade cinnamon rolls, klobasnik (sausage rolls), and breakfast burritos. Enjoy a freshly baked croissant or place a special request for a veggie roll during your visit. An abundance of both sweet and savory options are on the menu, and you’ll find an extensive espresso bar where you can choose from cappuccino, hot chocolate, tea, lattes, coffee, espressos, and more.

Kasa Kolache is closed on Mondays and open from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Weekends hours are 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Kumar’s

Kumar’s serves authentic South Indian food free of MSG, food coloring, and artificial flavors. Dishes are made to order and incorporate farm-raised chicken, never-frozen meat, and fresh seafood. A variety of vegan and vegetarian options are available as well.  

For a unique dining experience, visit during the weekend when Kumar’s brings the mess halls of South India to Coppell. Mess hall dining is a fun, family-friendly dining experience where your server will bring rice, a variety of curries, and several other side dishes directly to your table in a buffet style. If you need extra servings, simply signal your server by raising your arm to have your meal replenished.

At Kumar’s, meals are served on banana leaves, which is a South Indian tradition. On the weekday menu, you’ll find a variety of soups, including slow-cooked goat bone soup and spicy tomato and pepper soup, to choose from. A large appetizer menu, featuring mejra chicken, pepper prawns, and mutton chops is available. Kumar’s serves a sizable selection of curry dishes and gives you plenty of drink and dessert options.

Kumar’s is closed on Tuesdays and open for lunch and dinner during the rest of the week. Hours vary, so check the website before you go. Make a reservation or drop in for a visit. Online ordering is also available.

Siam Thai Cuisine

Siam’s uses high-quality, fresh ingredients to create flavorful, authentic Thai dishes. Guests have several options to choose from, including fish, chicken, beef, seafood, and rice dishes. A kids’ menu is available for young diners, and a dessert menu provides a selection of after-dinner treats. 

Reserve a table online, drop in, or order your meal to go. Siam’s is closed on Mondays and open for lunch and dinner during the rest of the week. Check the website for hours.

Rajwadi Food

If you’re looking for a unique approach to vegetarian dining, give Rajwadi Food a try. Located in nearby Irving inside the Indian Super Market, Rajwadi uses fresh vegetables to create meals, forgoing the use of all frozen, microwavable, and canned foods.

Don’t let Rajwadi’s intimate setting fool you — the small café has a large menu that includes Indian street food, flatbreads, curries, and several daily specials. In addition, combination plates are available, allowing you to mix and match your favorite vegetarian Indian dishes. To complete your meal, take a look at the drink and dessert menu.

Online ordering and catering are available. Rajwadi is closed on Mondays and open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m Tuesday through Sunday. 

Pho Yen Phi

Enjoy authentic Vietnamese food when you dine at Pho Yen Phi. Choose from an assortment of appetizers, including chicken wings, egg rolls, and shrimp weichuan wraps to start your meal. For your main course, you’ll find a variety of pho noodles, including chicken, tofu, vegetable, and shrimp, on the menu. Several different rice and noodle platters are available as well. 

Pho Yen Phi is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

Little Greek Fresh Grill

The Little Greek Fresh Grill offers a variety of different Greek dishes, featuring starters such as falafel, hummus, pita bread, dolmades, soup, and salad. Several pita and wrap options, including chicken, lamb, steak, and veggie are also on the menu. Choose from lighter fare, including lamb skewers and spinach pie, and more filling dinner entrees, such as gyro and steak platters.

Little Greek caters small and large gatherings and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. On Sundays, Little Greek opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m.
