Six Feet Under Pub & Fish House
Do you have a kid who’s obsessed with fish sticks for lunch, dinner, and every snack? Then take them to Six Feet Under Pub & Fish House to taste the best fish sticks and other delicious seafood they’ve ever had!
The kids menu features delicious fish sticks, grilled or fried shrimp, and other kid-friendly staples. Parents and adventurous kiddos can enjoy a plethora of other fresh seafood dishes, from steamed shellfish, delicious appetizers, salmon- or shrimp-topped salads, fish tacos and sandwiches, or just baskets of fried fish and chips. Some of the best dishes include the crab cake sliders, the Cajun salmon platter with spicy relish, coleslaw, and fried okra, and the Six Feet Under Steamer, which is an array of crab legs, shrimp, oysters, mussels, and much more.
This restaurant has two locations — Westside is located at 685 11th St. and Grant Park at 437 Memorial Drive S.E. Both locations are open Sunday through Wednesday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. While the Westside location is closest to the Buckhead and is a nice spot for a weekday family dinner, the Grant Park location is a great option for when you’re farther downtown.
Little Bangkok

Whether you have picky eaters or big fans of Asian cuisine, you and your family are sure to enjoy the diverse menu at Little Bangkok. This restaurant serves a mix of Thai and Chinese dishes, so there’s something for everyone. Plus, you can come in for lunch to get smaller portions or order a few dishes for everyone to share during dinner. Sharing like this is a great way to get kids to try new flavors and cuisines.
Start your meal with some delicious spring rolls, egg rolls, or dumplings. Consider having both a Thai soup like Tom Ka Soup and a Chinese soup like egg drop soup. If you like rice and noodles, try one of their Thai fried rice or Thai noodle dishes, which come with rice or noodles, a protein like shrimp, chicken, or beef, and plenty of veggies, like snow peas, broccoli, carrots, onions, and tomatoes all mixed with fantastically rich spices. Be sure to order the Thai curry dishes, like massaman curry chicken or avocado shrimp with curry coconut milk sauce.

Nine Mile Station
Nine Mile Station offers amazing views of Atlanta from the rooftop of the Ponce City Market in addition to their amazing American fare. For dinner, you can get starters like refreshing and tangy watermelon salad, delicious white bean hummus, or a meat and cheese platter. Then, get an entree like the house Cobb salad, a burger topped with gruyere cheese, bacon, and caramelized onions, or baby back ribs, all of which are definitely kid-approved. They also serve brunch on the weekends, so you can indulge in classics like avocado toast, a breakfast sandwich, or southern shrimp and grits.
While the food at Nine Mile Station is great for kids, it’s just down the way from Skyline Park where the whole family can play mini golf and arcade games as well as ride a three-story slide and zoom up and down the Heege Tower. So be sure to get your thrills and prizes there first so you work up a big appetite.
Nine Mile Station is located at 675 Ponce de Leon Ave. N.E. They’re open Monday through Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Downwind Restaurant and Lounge
Downwind Restaurant and Lounge is another eatery that offers an experience alongside the food. When you bring your family here for lunch or dinner, you can all enjoy the sights and sounds of airplanes taking off and landing at nearby DeKalb-Peachtree Airport.
Their menu is full of staple dishes, so kids will definitely find something on the menu they love. If you or the kids like spicy, try the buffalo chicken sandwich with cool coleslaw. For plant-based options, order the veggie burger, Greek salad, or grilled cheese, a kid-approved choice that goes great with planes whizzing by! Plus, every day, they also offer fantastic specials, including entrees and dessert. Some of their best special dishes include the Philly cheesesteak, red snapper piccata, and the Mandarin salmon salad.
This restaurant is located at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, 2000 Airport Road Suite 201. They’re open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Howell’s Kitchen & Bar
Howell’s Kitchen & Bar serves high-end bar food and wood-fired pizza. Start with pub fries, smoked salmon dip, or a Bavarian pretzel with cheese or beer mustard. Then, opt for a salad, share a pizza with your favorite toppings or some new ones you haven’t tried (like the Fun Guy pizza that’s piled high with multiple types of mushrooms), a juicy burger or chicken sandwich, or entrees like fish and chips or Grown Up Chicken Tenders. The kids menu features chicken tenders, pizza, pasta, burgers, and grilled cheese plus a kids-only sundae that’s topped with brownie chunks and whipped cream.
Like Nine Mile Station, Howell’s Kitchen & Bar offers plenty of entertainment for families to stay busy before ordering and while waiting for their food.
