Lost Creek Park is a beautiful Allen, Texas, spot where kids of all ages can go exercise and play sports. This 5-acre park has baseball/softball fields, a basketball court, and hiking and biking trails. Young kids can enjoy the playground, and when it comes time to rest, you can have a picnic under the shaded pavilion.

The Plano Family YMCA is your one-stop recreation place for health, wellness, sports, and fun activities. The goal of the Plano Family YMCA is to strengthen the foundation of Plano and surrounding communities through sports, recreation, and healthy activities. If your child enjoys playing basketball, they can join the basketball program where they’ll learn basketball and teamwork skills. This YMCA offers a pre-k through kindergarten basketball league and a youth basketball league for kids in the first through eighth grades.
Youngsters can also sign up for T-ball and baseball leagues offered in the summer. Kids can also join the soccer youth league where they’ll practice basic and advanced skills to help them enhance their soccer and teamwork skills. Children 6 and up interested in the focus and discipline of martial arts can learn tae kwon do. Kids will not only learn the basics of tae kwon do, but also learn courtesy, humility, integrity, and self-control.
Another great program the Plano Family YMCA offers is Girls on the Run for young women in the third to fifth grades. Girls who participate in Girls on the Run will develop a sense of self-worth and power they’ll carry through life. At the end of the program, the participants celebrate with an end-of-season 5K run.

Kids 8 to 18 will learn the sport of polo with the goal of joining one of Prestonwood’s interscholastic and intercollegiate teams. These teams will eventually compete in the United States Polo Association’s tournaments throughout Texas and the United States.
The instructors at Prestonwood teach youths how to ride horses and play polo quickly so they can apply for teams.
