Camden County Fair

You’ll find the Camden County Fair at the County Fairgrounds in Gloucester Township every year near the end of June. This family-friendly festival presents tons of fun rides and games for everyone to enjoy. Younger children can look forward to the free pony rides and petting zoo to get up close to some cuddly animals. The fair also has a face-painting station so your kids can choose to look like their favorite animal or superhero.

For endless entertainment, visit the stage to see local bands, singers, and dancers showcase their talents. Plenty of delicious food will be available at various food trucks posted throughout the fairgrounds. The 2023 Camden County Fair will take place on June 24 and 25. Admission and parking is free. Amusement rides cost $2 each.

Christmas in July Summer Bazaar

Ranconcas Woods Events hosts lovely annual events in the woods so guests can relish nature as they join their community for something special. Is Christmas your favorite holiday? Take advantage of the Christmas in July Summer Bazaar held on Saturday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 118 Creek Road in Mount Laurel. Browse this market’s cutest Christmas decor, interesting antiques, and handcrafted goods from local artisans. If you’re passionate about crafting, there will be many arts and crafts activities during the event. 

Admission to this event is free, and the bazaar encourages you to bring your old holiday decor to swap with the vendors. Still, bring extra cash to enjoy a treat from a local food truck or grab a drink at the beer garden. The Christmas in July Summer Bazaar is family-friendly and pet-friendly, too. Be sure to keep your well-behaved pooch on a leash during the event.

Ice Cream and Summer Movie

Every summer in Mount Laurel Township, the local community hosts the Ice Cream and Summer Movie event at Laurel Acres Park. This event is free and open to all ages. You’re welcome to bring blankets and pillows to get cozy before the movie starts at dusk. 

Pack a picnic or order a healthy meal from a local eatery to go so your family can enjoy dinner and a movie at this event. Complete your meal with a sweet treat from Mr. Softee, serving free ice cream to all the event’s guests. Muddy Paws Farm 2nd Annual Craft Fair & Open House

Muddy Paws Farm Rescue is happy to host its second annual craft fair and open house on Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come to this pleasant outdoor festival to browse and shop one-of-a-kind merchandise from local vendors. Or spend time with your kids as you make a keepsake craft together.

This 11-acre farm is home to over 100 farm animals, including bunnies, ducks, chickens, and cattle. Keep an eye out for these adorable animals as you walk along the farm’s trails. The donkeys and goats in the pasture near Retreat Road are especially friendly to visitors. If you and your kids love visiting the farm, consider joining its volunteer group to help care for the land and animals.

Fall Harvest and Plant Swap

Rancocas Woods Events returns for another sensational market event, this time with the Fall Harvest and Plant Swap. This free annual event is held on Sunday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Use this awesome market to prepare for Halloween with a costume swap for all ages. Families with pets can dress them up for the Fall Pup Strut. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and costs $5 per pet. Don’t miss the cute parade of costumed animals at 11 a.m.

If you’re a plant lover, this is the perfect event for you. There will be an incredible selection of indoor and outdoor plants, perfect for the growing season. Be sure to check out the garden accessories from local vendors to spruce up your living space. Mount Laurel Tree Lighting Ceremony

The annual Mount Laurel Tree Lighting Ceremony occurs on the first Friday in December every year. Save the date for this year’s ceremony on Dec. 1. This event has wonderful sponsors presenting face painting and kid-friendly activities. Your children will even get a chance to have photos taken with Santa Claus. 

Menorah Lighting Ceremony

Mount Laurel hosts an annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony in Rancocas Woods for families of the Jewish faith. The 2023 lighting ceremony will take place on Dec. 7, marking the first night of Hanukkah. A rabbi from a local congregation will lead the ceremony. Ring in the holiday season with some hot chocolate provided by a local cafe.
