The family-friendly restaurant is located right here in Romeoville, making planning a fun night out to treat yourself to Japanese cuisine easier than ever before. (If you’re in the mood for ramen, Aodake features a ramen restaurant a bit further out in La Grange.) Since the Romeoville spot opened back in 2006, Aodake chefs have served up fresh, quality ingredients in dishes sure to have you coming back for more.

The restaurant is open for lunch Mondays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you want to stop in for dinner, you can do so Mondays through Thursdays from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. or on Fridays from 4:30 to 10 p.m. Aodake is also open on Saturdays from noon to 10 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 9 p.m

 Choose from more than 40 specialty sushi rolls or go for a teriyaki or tempura dish. Whatever you pick, make sure you save room for dessert. The banana tempura ice cream and ice cream mochi are real crowd pleasers for both kids and kids at heart!

Desi Diner is open on Mondays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Whether you stop by for lunch or dinner, you’ll find a range of options for a memorable family outing.

The food at Desi Diner is prepared using traditional cooking methods from India and Pakistan. They use only zabiha meat (what many people think of as “halal” but for meat), including beef, chicken, and lamb. You’ll find grilled dishes, vegetable options, and even burgers and fried chicken here, so every member of the family can easily find something to love.

Absolute BBQ

You don’t have to travel far to experience the only Indian restaurant in the country with tabletop grilling. You’ll find that at Absolute BBQ, located just a short drive away in Naperville. Kiddos will love the interactive aspect of the restaurant, while the whole family is sure to enjoy the authentic flavors. Absolute BBQ specializes in North Indian, South Indian, and Indo-Chinese cuisines.

Absolute BBQ is closed on Mondays but open from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In addition to that evening slot, the restaurant also opens from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. On Sundays, the restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and then again from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
