Here at Crème de la Crème, we know how important it is to give your family a well-balanced meal no matter where you are. Eating healthy can be a challenge when you are on the go or at a restaurant. That’s why we’ve compiled this list of some of the best healthy restaurants in and around Fishers, Indiana. Try one of these five places today!
If you’re looking for a variety of great, health-conscious food, then Pure Eatery is your spot. This restaurant serves up everything from crab cakes to tacos to salads, sandwiches, and more. Plus, they’ve got plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, too.
If you’re in Indy, try their vegan “chicken” nuggets as a starter, grab a cranberry and goat cheese salad for your meal, and finish it off with some locally made ice cream. But if you’re close to home in Fishers, you’ve got an even bigger selection of yummy dishes to choose from. Start with gouda-stuffed jalapenos, grab a bleu cheese chicken pita or an ahi melt, and end your meal with some flourless chocolate cake. And even though Pure Eatery is one of the best places for lunch, you can also stop by the Fishers location for brunch.
You can find Pure Eatery in Fishers at 8235 E. 116th St., Suite 245. If you’re heading into Indy, you can also stop by their location in the Murphy Building at 1043 Virginia Ave., Suite 3. Both locations are open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
Who doesn’t love all-day breakfast? At Cafe Patachou, you and your kids can get morning meal favorites like omelets, waffles, bagels, and breakfast bowls. A few of our go-to meals include The Hippie With a Benz omelet, made with spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, and feta, and the vegan omelet, which is a unique “crepe” made with chickpea flour and stuffed with black beans, cashew ricotta, avocado, salsa, and more.
Or, you can opt for delicious lunch-time fare, too, with homemade soups, scrumptious sandwiches, or a mix of the two. Some of this cafe’s best meals include their matzo ball soup and the waffled grilled cheese (for a visual twist on an old classic!) for lunch.
Cafe Patachou has half a dozen locations around the Fishers and Indianapolis areas, so you’re never too far away from a place with healthy meals and plant-based options. But the one closest to your Fishers home is in Carmel. You can visit this Cafe Patachou at 5790 E. Main St. from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day.
Ezra’s Enlightened Cafe
This local restaurant is known for using gluten-free, dairy-free, non-GMO, and locally sourced ingredients in its fantastic meals. If you’re looking for something lighter, get one of their delicious smoothies made from fresh fruit, vegetables, and plant-based alternative protein powders. You can also order freshly squeezed and blended juices that boost your immune system and other important bodily functions. They also have kombucha on tap and a few coffee options for caffeine lovers. On the filling food side, opt for a smoothie bowl topped with granola, more fruit, and other delicious options, or get a salad, soup, wrap, or pizza.
Ezra’s Enlightened Cafe even has its own local farm where they grow much of the produce used in the restaurant using sustainable and responsible farming practices. And if you really like this place’s approach to food, you can take cooking classes to bring these recipes home, or you can become a member to get discounts at the cafe, their herbal remedy offerings, and their grocery options, too.
You can visit Ezra’s Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They’re located at 6516 Ferguson St. in Indianapolis.
The Garden Table
Brunch it up throughout the week with healthy options from The Garden Table. Try one of their bowls, like the acai bowl with frozen berries, housemade granola, banana, and almond butter, or the fajita bowl with scrambled eggs, marinated beef, potatoes, veggies, avocado, and salsa. You can also get pancakes, benedicts, hashes, and salads. Kids can get favorites like traditional egg and bacon platters, mini pancakes, and delicious biscuit combos. Wash it all down with drinks like cold-pressed juices, coffee drinks with dairy-free mylks, teas, and, for parents only, wine, beer, and cocktails.
Each of the two locations has a slightly different menu, so be sure to hit up both places so you and your family can try new specials. If you’re really interested in pairing your healthy brunch with a spectacular cocktail, go to the Mass. Avenue location to sample from their extensive list.
The Garden Table has two locations that are both open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Head to the Broad Ripple location at 908 E. Westerfield Blvd., or the Mass. Avenue location at 342 Massachusetts Ave.
