One of the best family-friendly spots in Bridgewater is 22 West Tap and Grill. This place has an upscale sports bar aesthetic that’s very welcoming. You can dine inside or al fresco on the cozy covered porch. But no matter where you sit, you always have a good view of one of the many TVs. The menu includes bar food and American staples, like burgers, fried appetizers, ribs, and wings. You can also get gourmet flatbreads, mac ‘n’ cheese, chicken and waffles “sliders,” and all sorts of yummy sandwiches.

You’ll find 22 West Tap and Grill at 1601 Route 22 in Bridgewater. They’re open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, Friday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tommy’s Tavern + Tap

Tommy’s Tavern + Tap is a family-owned business known for its welcoming atmosphere and its large and diversely inspired menu. In fact, the menu is what makes Tommy’s a perfect place to go if everyone in the family is craving something different. Start your meal with Asian-inspired General Tso’s fried cauliflower, Mediterranean hummus, or Wisconsin fried cheese curds. Go with one of their amazing stacked salads, an entree of pasta, tacos, or ribs, a juicy burger or sandwich, a specialty pizza, or even sushi.

Tommy’s is located at 600 Somerset Corporate Blvd. in Bridgewater. The kitchen is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The restaurant itself stays open until midnight Sunday through Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday through Saturday.

Chimney Rock Inn

Chimney Rock Inn is another great option if everyone’s craving something different, but it’s also good if you’ve got a few different diets in the family or anyone with gluten allergies. That’s because Chimney Rock Inn has many gluten-free menu and vegan options. The menu features a collection of Italian, German, English, and Latin American-inspired dishes in addition to many American staples. You can have chicken quesadillas, lasagna, barbecued meats, fish and chips, chicken pot pie, burgers, and bratwurst, among many other diverse options. What’s more, this place offers specials throughout the week and hosts live music.

Head to Chimney Rock Inn Bridgewater at 800 Thompson Ave. They’re open seven days a week from noon to 10 p.m.

Time to Eat Diner

If you’re looking for the classic diner experience, then Time to Eat Diner is your spot. They serve every meal all day long, perfect for picky eaters or someone in the mood for breakfast at dinner. You can order all of your breakfast favorites, from pancakes and waffles to egg-and-breakfast-meat platters to omelets. Have an appetizer like pierogies, fried calamari, chicken wings, loaded potato skins, or fried mac ‘n’ cheese. Then, enjoy a burger, hot dog, classic diner sandwich, quesadilla, pressed panini, specialty salad, wrap, meat and potatoes entree, gyro, or Polish specialty like stuffed cabbage for the main course.

Gabriel’s Fountain Kitchen & Creamery

At Gabriel’s Fountain, it’s easy to grab dessert after your meal. That’s because in addition to delicious hand-crafted food, you can also get homemade ice cream that’s made with local ingredients and natural flavors and colors (with the exception of mix-ins like M&Ms). Prep for dessert with some wings, a cup of soup, a fresh salad, a gourmet sandwich, a juicy burger, a quesadilla, or some pasta. Then, order your favorite flavors of ice cream in a cup, cone, pint, milkshake, sandwich, or soda float.

Visit Gabriel’s Fountain at 1948 Washington Valley Road in Martinsville. They’re open Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The kitchen closes an hour before close every day.

Alfonso’s Trattoria

Alfonso’s Trattoria is a local family restaurant that serves amazing Italian dishes, including homemade pizza, calzones, stromboli, and pasta. Start with fried calamari, proscuitto-wrapped mozzarella, fried ravioli, or gourmet mac ‘n’ cheese. Alfonso’s Trattoria is located at 99 W. Main St. in nearby Somerville. They’re currently open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Casa Luna Mexican Cuisine

Casa Luna Mexican Cuisine should be your family’s go-to spot for spectacular Mexican food. The menu is packed with authentic Mexican dishes, Tex-Mex staples, and house specialty recipes.
