Central Park

Frisco’s Central Park offers the perfect escape when you’re looking for a place for the kiddos to burn some energy outdoors, all while learning a bit of Texas history. You’ll find the 8-acre park near the intersection of Gaylord Parkway and Parkwood Boulevard. A public art installation by Anita Pauwels called “Cattle Drive” is a huge highlight here, offering bronze sculptures and quotations representing the historic cattle drive along the Shawnee trail for kids to explore. Kids will also love checking out the small pond, running brook, and walking trails.
Frisco Commons Park
Another outdoor park located right here in Frisco, Frisco Commons Park, has something for everyone. The large wooden playground system is just the start. Kids will also enjoy burning energy with a walk along the paved concrete trail that runs throughout the park or checking out their surroundings through several interpretative trails. As for the playground system, small buildings represent Frisco businesses for a fun setting, and various areas are handicap-accessible as well. When it’s time to relax and refuel after tons of outdoor fun, you can make use of picnic tables and barbecues.
Preston Park North
Preston Park North is yet another outdoor area to explore in our hometown. The small neighborhood park includes a playground great for little climbers in your brood, and you can make use of a basketball court here as well. Strikz Entertainment
Of course, sometimes you need an indoor area where kids can get active as well. There’s nothing quite like a rainy day to give kids a case of overflowing energy! That’s when it’s time to turn to Strikz Entertainment. This family owned and operated entertainment center in Frisco boasts more than 43,000 square feet of fun activities. A huge arcade offers an abundance of games, and a unique laser tag arena takes the fun to the next level. As the name implies, Strikz is also the place to go for bowling. The facility features 32 state-of-the-art lanes.
EQ Kids Club
EQ Kids Club offers another amazing opportunity for kids in Frisco. This “edutainment” center engages both kids and their parents, letting little ones draw on their five senses and imaginations while interacting with peer-level children. EQ Kids Club offers open play sessions as well as special events and private parties, so you’re sure to find the ideal offering for your kids to enjoy.
All 4 Frisco
Did your child get inspired by watching the Summer Olympics? Frisco has you covered. Just head over to All 4 Frisco, an amazing facility dedicated to helping kids have active, healthy fun in gymnastics, cheer, tumbling, and more. The 18,000-square-foot facility boasts five balance beams, an Olympic trampoline as well as a standard trampoline and Double Mini trampoline, and two regulation cheer floors.
Then there’s over 60 feet of rod floor and over 70 feet of tumble ramps for tumbling, not to mention kinder and full-size gymnastics apparatuses and ninja equipment including a warp wall. With a variety of classes and programs available for all ages and abilities, you’re sure the perfect opportunity for your kid to regularly burn off energy here.
Galleria Dallas Ice Skating Center
Maybe your kids imagine themselves as Winter Olympians instead. If that’s the case (or you’re just looking for a fun place for your family to cool off and get active!), you’ll want to add Galleria Dallas Ice Skating Center to your list of places close to Frisco to check out. You’ll find a range of ways for your children to have fun on the ice here. Whether you’re looking to sign them up for classes to hone their ice skating skills or you just want to enjoy the public skating, you can make use of this facility.
KidMania
With locations in Plano and Fort Worth, KidMania makes finding an indoor place to burn off energy a breeze. The huge playground area sprawls five levels, stretching more than 25 feet in the air. The modern playground maze includes slides, bungee walls, a cave, and tunnels as well as a zip line, climbing nets, and a toddler area. Altitude Trampoline Park
