The experts at Creme de la Creme have compiled a list of the six best kid-friendly attractions for the family near Mount Lauren, New Jersey, to help you get started.

The Funplex

This gaming center and arcade have many attractions for kids and activities that the whole family can share. At The FunPlex, you’ll find a Fun-A-Whirl, AirShot, arcade games, electric go-karts, laser tag, and bowling. They have two indoor options for food, the PitStop and the Boardwalk café, which both offer hot menu items and healthy choices. Outside, you can check out the rides, such as FunCoaster and High Velocity, along with a mini-golf course.

The FunPlex also has a water park, The Splashplex, open seasonally, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The waterpark features two pools, a lazy river, nine waterslides, and a splashing speedway. The Funplex also offers private cabanas and villas to gather with your group or family in your own little area. Food is also available outside at The Island Café, or you may order through your cabana or villa server. For larger events like a family picnic, they also have outdoor Pavilions for rent.

Visit The FunPlex at 3320-24 New Jersey Route 38 in Mount Laurel. Hours vary by day, so you may want to check their schedule online before making plans.

Laurel Acres Park

Lauren Acres Park is an ample, lush green space with many activities for the whole family. Younger children can enjoy the three playgrounds, while kids of all ages can enjoy sledding hills on the massive hills in the winter. There are also many nature trails and jogging paths for a family hike or run. The park has a whopping eight baseball fields, including a triplex, quad, and one 90-foot field.

You can enjoy the sand volleyball court, a lake for fishing, and two picnic pavilions with grills where you can make a family meal. There’s also a dog park, so you don’t have to leave your four-legged friend home. Laurel Acres Park is located at 1045 S. Church St. in Mount Laurel Township, with hours of 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Johnson’s Corner Farm

Johnson’s Corner Farm has a wealth of activities for your children and the whole family. One of the many offerings is the Little Farmer’s Class, a special interactive class for 2- to 5-year-old children and a parent or guardian so that you can be involved in the fun. It teaches kids about farming through play and other hands-on activities. There will be multiple sessions of Little Farmer’s Class running throughout the spring and summer.

Their Discovery Barnyard & Animal Farm are the perfect places to bring your kids to learn about animals, where they can feed and pet them for a one-of-a-kind hands-on farm experience. There are three play areas within the barnyard, plus many other activities, including climbing rocks, a tractor tire sandcastle, a space net, a pedal go-kart, and three splash pads to beat the heat on a hot summer’s day. Johnson’s Corner Farm is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily at 133 Church Road in Medford.

My Little Adventures

This indoor playground for kids is adventurous and safe. At My Little Adventures, your children will develop skills at all stages throughout their childhood. My Little Adventures is devoted to helping kids experiment, question, think, and reason through play and classes. They also have summer camp programs. All the activities are chosen and designed to foster your children’s intellectual and emotional growth. Their goal is to provide hands-on learning activities and play that stimulates the mind and supports healthy movement.

You can sign up for private, reserved playtimes and birthday parties Saturday through Tuesday or join in the fun with everyone Wednesday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. My Little Adventure is found at 3163 Marne Highway in Mount Laurel.

We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym

We Rock the Spectrum was created with a specific mission: providing a place for children of all abilities to grow through play together. Peekaboo Playground is a safe, clean, and fun-filled indoor facility where infants, toddlers, and young children can enjoy immersive, hands-on fun and learning.
