BeeHive Indoor Playground

Don’t let the weather dampen your family’s spirit. With BeeHive Indoor Playground close to home, you can easily turn a gray day into a fun family adventure. This local spot features attractions like a three-level playground, imagination blocks, air hockey, and moonbounces, not to mention a video game room, bumping cars, and more. A toddler area ensures your littlest ones can get in on the fun as well.

With 14,000 square feet of activities, you’ll come back here whenever the weather forecast is less than ideal. The attractions are open to kids ages 3 months to 12 years, and you can also visit the comfortable cafe for family time together.

Kid’s Choice Sports and Fun Center

KC Sports and Fun Center will take the guesswork out of filling the next dreary day with loads of fun. Named one of the top 10 best sports centers in Virginia, this Woodbridge spot boasts 56,000 square feet of rainy-day activities. Laser tag, bounce houses, even swimming — you name it, KC Sports and Fun Center likely has it.

A wide variety of open-play activities means you’ll never worry about how to entertain the family again. Their eight-lane indoor swimming pool includes the Aqua Glide Obstacle Course, and the laser tag arena is the largest in the area. The kids’ playroom is also ideal for children 8 and older.

Imagine That Playground

Head to nearby Dumfries to check out Imagine That Playground the next time the weather forecast has your family feeling down. Drop-in play and private playgroups mean you can find an experience that meets your kids’ needs. This indoor playground features a dedicated area reserved for kids under 3 that is separate from the other play areas. A huge climbing structure, pirate ship, and town center complete the package. Oh, and this playground offers free Wi-Fi and a cafe, so you can enjoy the day when you’re staying indoors with the kids.

Scramble Indoor Play Alexandria

Scramble Indoor Play offers yet another opportunity for indoor fun when the weather just isn’t cooperating for outdoor activities. The World of Play system at Scramble Alexandria is both close to home and chock full of kid-friendly exploration. You don’t have to travel further than Alexandria to let kids ages 4 to 10 discover places worldwide.

Scramble Alexandria also offers activities like role play, and dedicated areas for infants, toddlers, and elementary-age kids mean safe play time is right around the corner. Scramble also has a location in Falls Church, so you’ll never run out of ways to keep your family active and entertained.

Sportrock Alexandria

If your kids are itching for adventure on a rainy day, Sportrock has you covered. Their Alexandria location boasts unique features like the tallest walls in the mid-Atlantic, the only multi-pitch and rappel ledge in the United States, adaptive climbing, and more. The 35,000-square-foot facility is the place to go close to home for climbing classes and climbing instruction.

Open climb, where beginners get to climb with an instructor, is available for kids ages 5 and up. Instructors are on hand to manage the ropes, so you and your kiddos can focus on the thrill of climbing. You can schedule for a maximum of four people per time slot. Look forward to fun in a safe, supervised environment that helps get you and your family used to different wall heights while you take advantage of coaching on climbing basics.

Escape Room Woodbridge

Looking for interactive fun? Look no further than Escape Room Woodbridge. Clever theme rooms deliver the ideal mix of technology and logic to create an immersive and fun experience. This is the place to go for fun for the whole family as you work together to solve puzzles in imaginative settings like a candy shop or toy shop. Each room accommodates four to eight people, and adult supervision is required for players under 15. Just be sure to book your appointment online at least one hour in advance.
