More experienced kid drivers can hop into booster cars, and for ages 9 and up, there are kids’ smart cars, which provide a simulation of real life driving experience on a safe track. Stop by the carcade with over 50 games that are fun for all ages. Kids can also ride the ChooChoo Train, which goes through the tiny town and under a tunnel.

After playtime, you can order hot, freshly prepared food and soft drinks on-site if you and the kids require nourishment. Hours are Friday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tiny Towne has packages available from $35 to $99 with varying lengths of driving time and tiny dollars for the carcade included.

For an indoor playground and arcade, you can bring your kids of all ages to DinoDash at 6315 Spalding Drive, Suite C in Norcross. This spot features over 12,000 square feet of play space, with large, soft play structures, including inflatables, obstacle courses, tunnels and slides, and soft blocks. Parents can also enjoy the fun, relax in the massage chairs and loungers, and supervise the playtime. Special discounts on admission are available with HippoHopp and DashCards, which can be purchased in person only.

Zoo Atlanta

To see animals worldwide in your backyard, visit Zoo Atlanta at 800 Cherokee Ave. SE in Atlanta. This world-class zoo is home to elephants, lions, monkeys, lemurs, orangutans, leopards, giant pandas, otters, zebras, red pandas, and hundreds more species. For a fun time that will fascinate your kids, you can book an animal encounter, which is an up-close time with animals, including lemurs, elephants, tortoises, giant pandas, and warthogs. They can feed them; if it’s safe, they may even pet the animals. Individually-timed general admission and add-on encounters can also be booked.

Children’s Museum of Atlanta

Head to the Children’s Museum of Atlanta at 275 Centennial Olympic Park Drive NW in Atlanta for a museum devoted to educating, engaging, and entertaining kids. Your children can explore exhibits such as Gateway to the World, where kids 10 months to 8 years old can visit six continents, climb through the layers of the Earth, and launch a rocket. Your young artist can explore their creativity through a painting wall, a sand table, storytimes, and dance parties on the CMA stage. In the Cause and Effect: Engineering exhibit, they’ll explore architecture, electrical engineering, computer science, and more.

The Children’s Museum of Atlanta offers daily play sessions from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. There are timed and staggered entry hours for play during these windows. Tickets must be purchased online in advance; no ticket sales are at the door. Discounts are available for educators, military personnel and their family, and Association of Children’s Museums members.

LEGO Discovery Center

For a fun time your kids will love, take them to the LEGO Discovery Center at 3500 Peachtree Road NE, Suite G-1, in Atlanta. This Lego Discovery Center is the LEGO play site, boasting over two million bricks,  letting you create whatever your family’s imagination can make. A unique personalized adventure awaits you and your children at this fully interactive center. You can bring along children of all ages. The discovery center is stroller friendly and has family bathrooms with diaper-changing facilities.

Regular admission is $28.99, with other tiers that include extras like LEGO mini-figures, digital photos of your playtime, and virtual reality play. Hours are individually timed and chosen by you when you purchase your tickets online.

Georgia Aquarium

No family visit to Atlanta is complete without a stop at Georgia Aquarium at 225 Baker St. NW in Atlanta. Georgia Aquarium is a majestic space filled with marine wonders. The aquarium’s 11 million gallons of water are home to hundreds of species and thousands of animals within its seven major galleries. You and your children will marvel at turtles, sharks, whales, jellyfish, sea lions, otters, dolphins, and so many more marine creatures. There are also options to purchase additional packages to go behind the scenes at the aquarium tanks or have up-close animal encounters.

You can visit the Georgia Aquarium Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday through Sunday until 9 p.m. All admission tickets include viewing the Aquarium galleries and general seating for the Sea Lion and Dolphin Presentations.
